Product information "Gadaric tunic linen brown"

Tunics were not only worn by Romans in antiquity, but were also popular throughout Europe from the early to the late Middle Ages. They were the basic clothing for men and women and were subject to constant changes through new cuts.

Our tunic "Gadaric" is the base for a great variety of medieval outfits. It is slightly bell-shaped from the hip downwards and slitted at the front and back. The generously cut sleeves allow great freedom of movement, for example when fighting.

As an undergarment, for example under a gambeson, it dissipates moisture from the body while staying breathable, similar to a modern undershirt.
As an upper garment in combination with a belt from our range of products, it is almost an outfit on its own. When combined with a pair of trousers and a belt bag, you are ready dressed for a visit to the next medieval fair.

Material: linen (50% linen & 50% cotton)

Wolfram chausses linen cream
Who hasn't heard of the glacier mummy "Ötzi"? This Neolithic hunter wore the oldest known evidence of "chausses". They are considered precursors of what we know as pants, which is only partly true. Both garments existed at the same time, only in different culturesChausses were widespread in the European Middle Ages. They were tied to one's braies (underpants, basically) by means of strings. Later, people tied them directly to their jerkins. They existed in a variety of shapes, colours and materials. Also, they were to be found in all social strata. On warmer days, it was a good idea to wear chausses made of linen fabric. Here, we offer our own version of this popular piece of clothing from the "Wolfram" series. The smooth linen fabric cools and feels lovely on the skin. The cotton content can absorb moisture and keep it from the body.Linen chausses are ideal for hot summer days. Of course, we also offer braies to match our chausses. Haddock jackboot
The oldest evidence of boots was found on murals in the Spanish cave of Altamira. They are dated from 13,000 to 15,000 BC. Boots protect the foot and calves from cold and injuries. They were and still are indispensable for outdoor activities or in bad weather. Primeval hunters, knights, adventurers or pirates they all wear boots – for good reason! The shape of turndown boots like the "Haddock" boots offered here was a rather late development from the commonly used riding boots. The long cuffs, which were supposed to protect the legs while riding, were folded down, which in time became a pure fashion trend. The  turndown boots "Haddock" are made of soft synthetic leather. This makes them insensitive to moisture and almost rain-proof. The sole boasts an additional seam. You don't have to worry about soaked shoes and wet feet... Under the long cuff, there is a strap that can be used to close the boot. On top of that, it is tied with another strap at the ankle. Another nice detail are the small brass buckles that visually fit our "Henry " series. We have designed the underside of the cuffs in such a way that they may also be worn folded upwards, which increases warmth and their protective effect. The light lining made of high-quality foam keeps the feet warm even during wet nights. The "Haddock" turndown boots are costume boots. They are not designed for permanent use outdoors.
